Quiet but not isolated renovated stone-farm. The terrace looks down upon the surrounding valleys and fields. The 8000 m² ground allows for privacy: on the lawn, next to the 6x12 pool, in the orchard.
A lay-out of the house is provided with the photographs. The two floors are separated in living and sleeping quarters very well isolated from each other. The living room consists in a cooking, an eating and a sitting-area. Two of the three French windows open on a large (40 m²) terrace equipped with tables and chairs . There is a second drawing room separated from the living room. There is one toilet on the ground floor and two upstairs separated from the bathrooms. The bathrooms have baths with showers, there are no separate shower cabins.
Le Maillac is located in the commune of Sagelat,at about three km from Belves, a nice small town with quite a few shops (two butchers, four bakeries, a bank etc). There is a good baker at about two km from Le Maillac that sells also the basic food and cleaning products. The supermarket is in Siorac, about five km from Le Maillac.
The house is 6 km from the Dordogne valley and about 10 km from the Vézère valley. The first one is known chiefly, from a cultural point of view, for its medieval castles and houses. Beynac, to mention only one place, has been the setting for quite a few movies and deserves it. The second one for its prehistoric sites, centered around Les Eyzies, the new prehistoric museum, the Lascaux caves etc. As far as sports are concerned, one can canoe on both rivers, fish, swim. Le Maillac is especially well located
for golfers with a 18 holes and a 9 holes within a 4 km radius.
